Salute to Alvarez LeCesne & Brenda Irons-LeCesne by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, Hunter Mill District Supervisor Walter L. Alcorn selected USE Board member Alvarez LeCesne and his wife Brenda as 2021 Lord and Lady Fairfax from the Hunter Mill district in recognition of their service to the Reston Community and Fairfax County over the past forty-five years.
The Lord and Lady Fairfax salute began in 1984 to recognize exceptional citizens of Fairfax County, a county of over a million people in Northern Virginia. Each year, the nineDistrict Supervisors select two citizens from her or his magisterial district to be Lord and Lady Fairfax. The honorees are recognized for going above and beyond the call of service to their community. The recognition ceremony was televised live from the Fairfax County Government Center on the Fairfax County cable channel-16.
Of note, Alvarez and Brenda are the first husband and wife couple chosen as Lord and Lady Fairfax for the Hunter Mill District.
We in Reston USE are all very proud that one of our own and his wife both have been so honored and is so well deserving of this recognition.
